Phil Bailey

Phil Bailey - Industry Development Manager, Healthcare
My main responsibility is to help the healthcare sector to harness the commercial benefits of adopting GS1 standards and to reap the rewards of demonstrable improvements in patient safety. To achieve this, I work closely with manufacturers, suppliers, distributers and trade associations to support them in developing their own transformation programmes.
This enables companies to better serve their customers – the NHS and private healthcare sector. It also reduces operating costs, delivers real business efficiencies, improved patient safety and greater regulatory compliance.
I’ve been at GS1 UK since 2014. Having chiefly come from product and marketing roles in the automotive and financial services sectors, I’ve relished bringing my experiences into the healthcare arena with GS1 UK.
